Thanks God It’s Friday
Finally, I’m back on my #TGIF Edition - a
blog post dedicated on what had happened on my Friday and how I spent the day
after work hours. Yihee!
I attended a bloggers event held at Papa John’s
Tomas Morato, Quezon City branch. It was a bloggers conference to support our
very own Team Philippines - Celina and Jon – at the reality show AXN Asia: TheApprentice Asia. Support them via voting them thru Facebook and twitter
(mechanics posted here).
After the event, blogger friends (Nessie,
Alwin, Janese, Gab, Rey & Cristelle) and I decided to have coffee to
chillax, catch up on things, to laugh, talk nonsense and with sense things, we
first thought of Baang Café however, it was quite far from the venue. Thus, we
decided to give a try at Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee which just across Papa
John’s.
Nessie and I had this Mango Walnut Torte which was sold for P90/slice.
For the drinks, we had hot Montezuma & Caramel Chocolate for P95/tall. As
per the menu, Montezuma, is a richer, creamy thick milk chocolate made from the
only finest quality chocolate while the Caramel, vigorous and aromatic melted
caramel to excellent white chocolate. I found the Caramel Chocolate a bit
pricey for its taste. It was like a canned milk/fresh milk with a hint of
Caramel but nothing special on it which I ended up not finishing it ‘coz I found
it bland and too sweet for me. In contrary, Mango Walnut Torte was good, had
fresh mango on top on it, creamy and had a lot of walnuts which I liked.
My verdict: Kitchen of Cakes and Coffee has
a lot to offer, cakes have different flavors to choose from which are suited on
your mood. Their cakes are something to look for in the next visit but for the
drinks, I may not order again the Chocolate drinks but I would preferably go
for their yoghurt and coffee drinks.
Goodnight! Tomorrow is another day. (^_^)
Xoxo,
